Commit and Act: Effective Supervision
About This Course
Most Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) are in positions to provide clinical supervision and oversight to their teams. However, many BCBAs were not formally trained to train others or to provide supervision. Effective supervision is paramount in behavior analytic services because the BCBA often prescribes the treatment plan but rarely is the one implementing it. Therefore, effective patient care requires effective supervision of the individuals implementing the treatment plan to assure that the treatment is carried out as prescribed. However, supervising other individuals to carry out prescribed treatments requires that BCBAs learn not just to carry out treatment plans but to train others to provide it and provide feedback as they monitor treatment integrity. In this webinar, Ellie Kazemi will address some of the common barriers supervisors face and provide 10 practical tips for efficient, effective leadership and supervision of staff.
Commit and Act is a non-governmental organization working to bring psychotherapeutic support to communities in need in Sierra Leone, Uganda, and Liberia. Their goal is to build a renewed sense of trust in the people they work with. To help individuals find the courage to rebuild their lives according to their own vision and values. Their local professional therapists counsel individuals and community groups.
PraxisCET is proud to help support this work. Proceeds from this presentation will go directly to Commit and Act, providing vital funding for the health and education services they provide in Sierra Leone and elsewhere.
