About This Course

Are you curious about how acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) can be applied in a brief, yet incredibly effective, user-friendly format across both in-person and telehealth platforms? The Matrix is an easily adaptable application of ACT that can be utilized for assessment, case conceptualization, treatment planning and interventions, while serving as a powerful metaphor for both you and your clients to reference throughout therapy. It offers a functional contextual point of view for evoking psychological flexibility, which is a predictor and marker of psychological well-being. In particular, the Matrix presents a process for noticing, sorting, and choosing behaviors with respect to workability. In attending this free webinar, you will gain clinical skills in assisting your clients to:

  • Observe and unhook from unhelpful thoughts
  • Compassionately undermine unworkable “stuck loops”
  • Flexibly respond to vulnerable feelings
  • Clarify and connect with deeply held values
  • Identify actions that generate more meaning and fulfillment in their lives
