David Burns, MD, is an Adjunct Clinical Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Stanford University School of Medicine. His best-seller, Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy, has sold over four million copies worldwide and often recommended by American and Canadian mental health professionals for depressed patients. He has received the Distinguished Contribution to Psychology through the Media Award from the Association of Applied and Preventive Psychology, and the Teacher of the Year Award twice from the graduating psychiatric residents at Stanford University
