Dennis Tirch, Ph.D. is the Founder of The Center for Compassion Focused Therapy, Past President of The Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS) and an Associate Clinical Professor at Icahn Medical School at Mt. Sinai, NY. Dr. Tirch is an author of 6 books, and numerous chapters and peer reviewed articles on mindfulness, acceptance and compassion in psychotherapy, including: The ACT Practitioner’s Guide to The Science of Compassion and Buddhist Psychology and CBT: A Clinician’s Guide with Dr. Silberstein-Tirch and Dr. Russell Kolts. Dr. Tirch regularly conducts CFT trainings, consultation & workshops globally. He is the President of The Compassionate Mind Foundation, North America; a Fellow of ACBS; Diplomate, Fellow & Past President of The New York City Chapter of ACBS. Dr. Tirch is a lay teacher of Buddhist meditation, a Zen Dharma Holder, and maintains an active social media presence discussing mindfulness, acceptance and compassion for all.
