Megan Salar, MSW, is an author, educator, and consultant with advanced training in EMDR and trauma-informed approaches. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University in 2011 and has spent over a decade immersed in trauma, attachment, and addiction-related education and professional training.
Megan has provided training and educational consultation to thousands of mental health professionals in the U.S. and internationally, focusing on the practical application of EMDR-informed, trauma-responsive, and evidence-informed frameworks. Her work emphasizes clarity, ethical decision-making, and real-world integration of complex concepts.
She is the author of EMDR Workbook for Trauma and PTSD: Skills to Manage Triggers, Move Beyond Traumatic Memories, and Take Back Your Life (New Harbinger Publications, 2023) and EMDR for Dummies (Wiley Publishing) and is set to release EMDR Workbook for Addiction (new Harbinger Publications, 2027).
