CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION

Course Completion Requirements

Attendees will be required to sign in and out each day, attend the course in full, and complete the course evaluation (which will be emailed to you) in order to earn CE credit. Attendees must complete the course in full and attend all sessions in order to receive ANY continuing education credit. No partial credit will be given.

How can I access/print my CE certificate or certificate of attendance, and when?

In the days following the event you will receive a short evaluation survey via email. Once you complete and submit this evaluation, you will receive a second email with your continuing education certificate or certificate of attendance attached.

Is continuing education (CE) credit included in the registration?

Generally, CE certification is not included in the fees for live events. If you require CE certification for a live training, there will be an additional $40 CE certification fee.

CE certification is generally included in the fees for online courses, both live and on-demand.

Is Praxis an authorized CE provider for my license type in my state?

Continuing education requirements for US behavioral-health professionals vary with license type and jurisdiction. Below, you will find a current list of the organizations that have approved PraxisCET and/or the Institute for Better Health (IBH) as a provider of continuing education. Your particular CE requirements are determined by the board that regulated your license. If you have particular questions about your situation, we encourage you to email us at events@praxiscet.zendesk.com. We have compiled a database of state-by-state and profession-by-profession, and we’ll do our best to point you to your board’s particular set of rules and policies. However, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring that your continuing education requirements for renewal are met.

  • Psychologists: IBH is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education to psychologists. IBH maintains responsibility for this program and its contents.

  • Counselors & MFTs: IBH is approved by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (License # 168-000119). IBH has been approved by the State of Texas Marriage and Family Therapist Examiners to provide continuing education activities. Provider # 154. IBH is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors. #MHC-0063. Praxis has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education.

  • Behavior Analysts: PraxisCET is an approved BACB ACE Provider # OP-17-2718.

  • Physicians: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Mental Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of IBH and Praxis. IBH is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

  • Nurses: IBH is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nurses, BRN (Provider CEP#2672).

  • Social Workers: IBH SW CPE is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0091. As an approved continuing education provider for the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, IBH offers continuing education for Texas Licensed social workers in compliance with the rules of the board. License No. 3876. IBH, #1426, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACT) program. IBH maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: 3/16/2017-3/16/2020. Social Workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval for continuing education credits. ​

  • Educators: IBH has been approved by the Washington State Professional Educator Standards Board (WESPSB), a member of NASDTEC, as a Clock Hour Provider for Educators. Learners may claim one Clock Hour for each activity hour attended. Please contact your individual state boards for information regarding reciprocity and any additional requirements.

  • Drug and Alcohol Counselors: Praxis Continuing Education and Training is a NAADAC Approved Education Provider. NAADAC Provider # 165310. PraxisCET is responsible for all aspects of the programming.

 

DISCLOSURE INFORMATION

When an education activity is offered for medical (CME), Nursing (ANCC), and Psychology (APA) continuing education credit, participants must be informed as to the source, amount, nature, and disposition of any funding used to support the activity, whether in the form of education grants, cash contributions, or in-kind contributions. No Praxis directly-sponsored programs currently receive commercial support. Some jointly sponsored programs do receive support. This information is provided to participants onsite prior to the beginning of the training activity.

Individuals in a position to influence course content must also disclose whether they have one or more relevant financial relationships with individuals and companies who have a financial interest in activity content.

Speakers, program planners, and others in a position to influence activity content may disclose any relevant financial relationships online by clicking here. If you disclose a potential conflict of interest, one of our staff will be in touch with you to help describe and resolve the conflict in a manner acceptable to our accrediting agencies. The online forms take only a few moments to complete. Your disclosure, along with the manner in which conflicts of interests (if any) were resolved will be made available to activity participants.

Please note: you are required to complete the disclosure process even if you do not have any relevant financial relationships. These 'negative disclosures' will also be made available onsite.
