Jennifer Levin, PhD, LMFT, FT

Dr. Jennifer R. Levin is a nationally recognized grief and trauma expert, licensed marriage and family therapist, and Fellow in Thanatology through the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC). She is the founder of Therapy Heals and Traumatic Grief Solutions, organizations dedicated to helping individuals, professionals, and workplaces navigate the aftermath of sudden and unexpected loss. 

With over twenty-five years of clinical and teaching experience, Dr. Levin specializes in traumatic grief, sudden death, and the intersection between trauma and bereavement. In addition to her private practice, she provides professional training, crisis support services, case consultation and organizational consulting to mental health practitioners, healthcare providers, and community leaders nationwide. 

Dr. Levin is the author of The Traumatic Loss Workbook: Powerful Skills for Navigating Grief Caused by a Sudden or Unexpected Death (New Harbinger, 2025), creator of the Online Traumatic Grief Companioning Course, and host of the podcast Untethered: Healing the Pain from a Sudden Death. Her teaching integrates compassion, diverse theoretical foundations, and practical tools to equip clinicians with confidence and skill in supporting clients living with traumatic grief.
