Elizabeth Cohn Stuntz LCSW-R

Elizabeth Cohn Stuntz co-authored Coping with Cancer: DBT Skills to Manage Emotions and Balance Uncertainty with Hope with Marsha Linehan, the developer of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). 

A cancer survivor, Stuntz is the co-founder of the Health Resiliency Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to developing and sharing innovative psychosocial health interventions. She brings the curriculum based on her book to patients, caregivers, and professionals, helping them apply evidence-based skills to the emotional challenges of illness. 

Stuntz earned her BA in Psychology from Cornell University, her MSW from the Smith College School for Social Work, and her Psychoanalytic Certification from the Westchester Center for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, where she serves on the faculty. A longtime Zen student, she integrates mindfulness practice into all aspects of her teaching and clinical work.
