Ben Sedley, PhD, PGDipClinPsyc

Ben Sedley is a clinical psychologist and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) practitioner with over fifteen years of experience working with kids, adolescents, adults, and families facing mental health difficulties, including anxiety and depression. He has worked at Victoria University of Wellington as a Clinical Practice Advisor in the Clinical Psychology program, and is an experienced ACT trainer and supervisor. Ben is the author of the book Stuff That Sucks: A Teen’s Guide to Accepting What You Can’t Change and Committing to What You Can (New Harbinger), as well as co-author with Lisa on the forthcoming book Stuff That’s Loud: A Teen’s Guide to Unspiralling When OCD Gets Noisy. Ben lives in Wellington, New Zealand, with his partner and three wonderful noisy kids.
