David D. Burns, MD, is an adjunct clinical professor emeritus in the Stanford University department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences. His best-selling book, Feeling Good, has sold more than five million copies worldwide, and is the book most frequently recommended for depressed individuals by American and Canadian health professionals.

His website, www.feelinggood.com, contains free resources for therapists as well as the general public, including his popular weekly Feeling Good podcasts, with 60,000 downloads monthly. He has won several awards for his research and teaching, including the prestigious 2018-2019 Irma Bland Award for teaching from the American Psychiatric Association.
