Debbie Sorensen, PhD

Debbie Sorensen, Ph.D. is a psychologist in private practice in Denver, Colorado with a Ph.D. from Harvard University and over 15 years of clinical experience. She specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with adults. She is also a co-creator and co-host of the popular psychology podcast Psychologists Off the Clock, and holds a part-time position as a Clinical Research Psychologist at the Rocky Mountain VA MIRECC for Suicide Prevention. She is a co-founder of Impact Psychology Colorado collective of therapists, and is passionate about training mental health professionals. She is a nationally-recognized trainer and training consultant in ACT for the VA, and has provided supervision and training consultation on the clinical work of doctoral students and mental health clinicians. She has presented her work nationally and internationally at conferences and formerly served as a lecturer in the Psychology Department at Harvard University. She is a co-host of the podcast Psychologists Off the Clock, and co-author of the book ACT Daily Journal: Get Unstuck and Live Fully with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
