Lauren M. Borges, Ph.D. is an investigator at the Rocky Mountain MIRECC and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. She is a licensed clinical psychologist working to develop different applications of ACT to support Veterans and healthcare providers in approaching emotions like shame and guilt more flexibly. These interventions include ACT for Moral Injury (ACT-MI), ACT for Healthcare Providers (ACT-HCP), and ACT for Suicide Prevention (ACT for Life). Dr. Borges has expertise applying ACT across these contexts and training providers in its implementation.
