Meg McKelvie, PhD

Meg McKelvie, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Boulder, Colorado. As a specialist in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and a co-founder of ImpACT Psychology Colorado, she has worked as a therapist, consultant and trainer and has presented her work at local and international conferences. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT’s), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and couples therapy. Prior to her work in private practice, she was a psychologist in the Family Program at the Rocky Mountain VA Medical Center where she specialized in developing, delivering and evaluating compassionate, evidence-based treatments for couples where one partner is struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In addition, she served as a nationally-recognized trainer and consultant in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for the Veteran’s Affairs Health Care System. She is committed to making ACT accessible to the public in the service of reducing individual and collective suffering.
