Welcome
Welcome to Treating Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors by Charles (Charley) Mansueto, PhD, and Ruth Golomb, LCPC!
Body-focused repetitive behaviors, or BFRBs, affect a surprising number of people. They can also have far-ranging impacts, including physical pain, changes to a person’s appearance, significant time lost, diminished confidence (and sometimes social avoidance as a result), struggles at school or work, and increased financial costs.
These impacts are profound for many individuals, and yet few clinicians are trained in how to treat them. We're thrilled you’re here to learn from the foremost experts in this topic and to equip yourself with their comprehensive behavioral (ComB) model for compassionately and effectively treating BFRBs.
